   When Wensman Seed was established in 1997, we understood the challenges that faced us.  We couldn’t be just another company selling seed.  Our business model had to be sustainable.  We had to provide growers with value.  We had to do it right the first time.  Wensman Seed got started on a fairly simple premise – we had to provide each grower with the best seed for their fields.  Providing “the right seed” worked in the beginning and continues to work today.   
   In those early years, Wensman recognized the advantage of Bt echnology.  We quickly determined that Bt corn borer protection was the right seed for our growers.  With our products in their fields, Wensman growers enjoyed tremendous yields when corn borer devastated non-Bt crops.  We proved our worth those seasons.  Bt corn was indeed “the right seed.”
   Staying on the forefront of seed technology and genetic advances has allowed Wensman to continue a leadership position in the industry.  Wensman growers have seen continual product advancements through the years:

   Through out the years, Wensman has always paired the latest wonders of seed technology with the best germplasm available.  Our corn and soybean products are “hand picked” by our product management team.  Hands-on genetic assessment through comprehensive research and hundreds of local plots has enabled Wensman to offer a product line-up unrivaled in our sales geography.  With research stations at Kenyon MN and Morris MN, our corn breeders are selecting out the best corn products for our sales geography.  Their efforts to develop proprietary germplasm, sets Wensman apart now and going forward in the future.
   I am very excited about what lies ahead.  We are launching Genuity™ Roundup Ready 2 Yield™ soybeans this year.  GENRR2Y represents a major step up in soybean yield.  I am proud that Wensman is again out front with this major product improvement.  And there are many more new traits being developed.  The package of eight genes in SmartStax™ corn should be here soon.  Wensman intends to bring that exciting advancement to your fields as soon as it is approved.
   Our new Acceleron™ seed treatment offers yet another very positive move for both our corn and soybean line-up.  Acceleron™, an external seed coat technology, is formulated with the best components available.  The multiple modes of action in Acceleron™ compliment the trait protections offered by internal genetic modifications.  By defending against weeds, pests and disease both inside and outside the seed, the yield potential of our world-class germplasm is allowed to express itself in bigger yields.  Believe me, the right seed for your fields will have Acceleron™ seed treatment.
   Bringing all of this together is the role of our people.  I truly believe that Wensman has the best people in the business.  From the Production Team that grows, conditions, packages and delivers the seed to the Customer Service Center Team that coordinates our operational activities to the Sales Team that provides expert product knowledge -Wensman is simply the best.
