World Class Research Stations
Researching Your Future

AgReliant Research Station, Morris MN
   "
The Morris Research Station will test 37% more plots in 2007 than it did in 2006.  This is all part of an expanded breeding effort on the part of AgReliant Genetics in the Northwest Corn Belt.
Our germplasm is “world class” in part because our genetic base is world wide.  AgReliant Genetics is the U.S. partner of LimaGrain and KWS, which are the #1 and #2 largest independent seed companies in the world.  We utilize our world wide germplasm to make our genetics “world class.”

Jerry Courson, who manages the Kenyon MN research station, reports that his operation will be evaluating just under 60,000 yield trial plots in nine locations scattered about in Minnesota, South Dakota and Wisconsin.  Courson noted that his station nursery will include 10,000 rows of corn hybrid research.  Special projects this year include evaluations on test hybrids for Northern Leaf Blight and Eye Spot diseases.  Of special interest this season will be a bio-tech research project involving 1,000 rows dedicated to identifying hybrids with natural resistance to European Corn Borer.
